BE A SOLUTION TO SOMEONE’S PROBLEM

Be a solution to someone's problem

Be a solution to someone’s problem

What I see all around me are business opportunities and by that I mean creating a web/app/company that helps people with their problems.  Definition of a problem: a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome and needing to be dealt with.

Here are some examples that I see around me:

For example, tourists come here on holidays and perhaps need somewhere to put their suitcases when they check out of the hotel around midday, especially if their flight is at night.  They might have 5 hours or more wait between checking out and going to the airport.   Like I said, that is someone’s problem or issue.  Can you think of a solution to it?

Or you have someone who comes over on holidays and they want or could do with a shopping companion. That right there is another business opportunity.

In the city where I live in, there is this particular touristy area where people like to get their photographs taken.  I pass there regularly and wonder how much it would cost to set up a pop up photography studio, as we have these pop up restaurants all over the city

There are these unlicensed rickshaw drivers in London or pedicabs, charging unsuspecting tourists up to £205 per mile, for very short trips throughout the day.

It’s about you finding your cause, in terms of  the solution that you want to provide to people.  Whatever you want to start, you don’t have to start big.  Just start where you are, with one person, if that person is well treated, they will recommend someone else and so on and before you know it, your business will start to grow.

The thing is being able to solve the problem in an efficient and professional manner.  Stick to your contract; let your yes be yes, be time conscious, you will need to have good interpersonal skills and be polite etc…

Steps to Follow, When Starting a Business:

  • You will need to identify the problem that you want to solve;
  • Structure the solution that you want to offer;
  • Brainstorm various solutions;
  • Select the best solution you know you can deliver well;
  • Implement the plan – from paper to action and lastly;
  • Start your business.
